Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards for Nigerian universities
CCMAS means Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards. It is the curriculum framework developed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to define the minimum academic requirements for undergraduate programmes in the Nigerian University System.
CCMAS provides the core curriculum and minimum standards that universities use when designing and delivering their degree programmes. It replaced the former Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) framework.
NUC states that CCMAS provides 70% of the core curriculum for each programme, while universities may use the remaining 30% for innovative or institution-specific courses.
Important: CCMAS is a minimum/core framework. Universities can add their own approved courses, so this app should not be interpreted as the complete institutional curriculum of every university.
